Faith Academy Weatherford is a dedicated Early Learning Program that puts families' needs first. We like taking care of the whole child. Every day, your child will learn crucial social skills, make developmental progress, make friends, and prepare for kindergarten in an environment that is specifically designed for them and their needs.
We help all children take the initial steps in their education in a setting that fulfills all of their needs by combining structured learning and open-ended play.
Faith Academy Weatherford understands that every family runs on a different schedule. Sometimes kids get out of school before parents are done working. We provide quality after school care to fit the scheduling needs of our families. We keep learning in mind and make sure your children are taken care of until you arrive.
We provide a dynamic environment in which children can achieve their full potential. Whether your children are observant and intuitive or passionate and energetic, we encourage them to explore their interests and strengths. Our preschool program prepares your child to enter kindergarten with the knowledge that they need for a great start. We make learning fun while striving to develop key learning skills.
Faith Academy Weatherford has programs to keep our children having fun and engaged. We offer things like art, gardening, cooking classes, martial arts, music, photos, and cooking.
One day every month students at Faith Academy participate in ART DAY. These days focus on process art and are provided with a variety of mediums to create and manipulate as they wish. Students create any where between 2-5 projects during ART DAY which get to go home at the end of the day. Each month the students have a story time that relates to the medium or colors they will be using during that month’s ART DAY.

Process Art is an artistic movement as well as a creative sentiment where the end product of art and craft, is not the principal focus. The ‘process’ in process art refers to the process of the formation of art: the gathering, sorting, collating, associating, patterning, and moreover the initiation of actions and proceedings. Process Art is concerned with the actual doing and how actions can be defined as an actual work of art; seeing the art as pure human expression. Therefore, art is viewed as a creative journey or process, rather than as a deliverable or end product.
We feel that now is the time to teach our children the importance of eating healthy foods. One of the ways that we encourage our students to eat their fruits and vegetables, is to allow them to get involved. Several days out of each month the kids help create their snacks. Some of these snacks may revolve around something they are learning that week and some may just be for fun– either way the kids have a blast. The students participate in making all their snacks for holiday parties and events that are happening at the school.
At Faith Academy we understand that moments that are made at school, are moments that are missed with the parents. We try to keep parents up to date with activities that are going on in the classroom and provide them with photos throughout the month. We also have photo sessions that coordinate with major holiday’s to provide parents with moments that can be cherished later in life. We try to capture the fun side of each child– the moments that we see everyday.
Once a month we host a Kid Connect program where parents get to partner with their kids in making crafts during afternoon pick up hours. All supplies are provided all you have to do is come have fun with your student. This program allows time for the children to show parents around and spend time in the place that is special to them. It also allows time for parents to connect with teachers at the school.
Several times a month the kids participate in cooking class. Through cooking class the kids learn math concepts, comprehension, real life science application, self-esteem through immediate feedback, communication, life skills, and ways to have fun.
The kids participate in planting, maintaining and harvesting their own garden. The harvest from the garden is used in the kid’s cooking class or for use as Tasty Tuesday snacks.
Every month the kids participate in a new monthly program. Programs that teach them about coordination, teamwork, self-discipline, and following directions all while having fun and getting exercise too. Programs so far this year include: gymnastics, martial arts, dance, Meals on Wheels, and music lessons.
